IABC NSW launches “Communicators' Day Out” conference

Bish Mukherjee and TJ Larkin are among the international line-up.

The New South Wales (NSW) chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) has unveiled the line-up for its conference this November.

bishEntitled the “Communicators’ Day Out” and running from 22-23 November, the conference will feature case studies, presentations and workshops from speakers including TJ Larkin, who will be exploring the biggest mistakes made in employee communication (Hub members and trialists can read some of Larkin’s top change tips).

Current IABC chair, Todd Hattori, will be speaking about the big “e” brand, and new Hub editorial board member, Bish Mukherjee (pictured above), will be discussing the IABC accreditation scheme and how to put together a Gold Quill winning entry.

Further workshops will be held by Australian intranet expert James Robertson, Victoria’s IABC president Adrian Cropley, and IABC NSW president Simon Covill.

Social media still a hot topic
The Hub’s Australian editor, Alex Manchester, will be chairing a panel on social media following TJ Larkin’s opening presentation, with fellow panellists including Angela Beesley from Wikimedia, and Anthony Kelaher from social networking site, MySpace.
