Baron boosts Merck's Research Laboratories' team

Experienced internal communicator joins global pharmaceutical company.

denise baronDenise C. Baron, a member of the Hub's soon-to-launch editorial board, last month joined pharmaceutical organization, Merck & Co., in Philadelphia.

She's taken on the position of director of public affairs and will oversee the internal communications operations of Merck's Research Laboratories. Prior to this, she managed her own communications consultancy.

Speaking to the Hub last week, Baron said: "The opportunity to develop an internal communications department from the ground up was enormously appealing to me, and one that doesn't present itself every day. So far, I've been immersed in discovery. There's so much to learn in this huge and highly complex organization."
