David Ferrabee champions "People Power"

Hub editorial board expert launches management communication book.

david ferrabeePeople Power is a new guide to internal communications and change management from David Ferrabee (right), managing director of the change and internal communications team at PR consultancy, Hill and Knowlton UK.

Training for the untrained
Ferrabee, one of the Hub's editorial board experts, provides advice and comments about strategic employee communication. The book covers topics ranging from national culture in communications, to measurement, to mergers, to social media.

"I didn't want to write a management book," Ferrabee explained to the Hub. "I wanted to write a book for people and about people. We always say that management is the only thing in business for which we're given no training, but it's also fundamental to the success of any business. I hope I'm telling people some of the things that their companies forgot to tell them," he said.

I hope I'm telling people some of the things that their companies forgot to tell them.

Let me at it
Aimed at managers, students, professors and any professionals with an interest in organizational communications, People Power can be ordered online through lulu.com and you can read Ferrabee's blog via Hill and Knowlton's website.
