Global networking site for communicators announced
The Communicators' Network set to connect communicators worldwide.
Global
research and training organization for internal communicators,
Melcrum Publishing,
last week announced the launch of a free-to-join, global
networking site for communication professionals, The Communicators'
Network.
The Communicators' Network will fully launch in the next couple of weeks and is designed to encourage professional communicators of various disciplines to connect with peers from around the world.
Power to the people
Speaking last week about the new site,
Robin Crumby (left), managing director of Melcrum, said: "The
Communicators' Network is different from the now-standard social networking
offerings, because it was conceptualized and built using software designed
for businesspeople, not teens. By empowering our adult community of
users with the ability to peer-review and rate resources, our
objective is to allow sharing between globally dispersed special-interest
groups."
When launched, the platform will offer standard social networking functionality, including groups, blogs, photo uploads, custom RSS feeds and discussion forums. Other features include a directory of third-party content and articles, which can be linked to and rated by the very community to which the resources are targeted.
Looking to partner-up?
Already in partnership on the Communicators' Network with software
developer, Small
World Labs, Melcrum is keen to also work with other industry partners
to support the site's growth and development. If your business or membership
group would like to get involved, please contact
Robin Crumby or for further information about the Communicators' Network,
