UK to host first World PR festival
Inaugural World PR conference will be held in 2008.
PR practitioners are being given their chance to shine at the UK's first World Public Relations Conference & Festival, to be hosted by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in London on 23-24 June 2008.
Call for papers
The main conference themes will include:
- The role played by PR in building countries' reputations and the resulting economic success.
- The challenge that diversity presents to communications.
- How big business can overcome consumer cynicism and demonstrate responsible action.
Hosting the conference offers the PR industry a tremendous opportunity.
The CIPR is calling for workshop papers to be submitted on these themes.
Submissions for consideration are welcome from all regions of the world and all sectors of the PR industry including in-house, public or private sector, non-governmental sector or agency.
Proposals should be received by the CIPR no later than Monday 31 December 2007.
A good PR opportunity
"Hosting the conference offers the PR industry globally a tremendous opportunity to communicate to the wider business community just what PR contributes to commerce and society worldwide," says CIPR director general and chair of the Global Alliance, Colin Farrington.
